More people who are looking to have a baby but cannot are deciding that the common sense thing to do is to look at the different options for surrogacy Ukraine has to offer.  There are a number of advantages in choosing to go overseas, but you should understand that there are some requirements that you must meet to be able to use their agencies.

Married, Heterosexual – while the Ukraine is open to same-sex relationships that is not true when talking about adoption or surrogacy. Y0u must be a married couple to be able to use their services and you must be straight. Homosexual couples will be rejected and there is no legal recourse that can be taken. You will be required to undergo a check where you must show that you are married.

Father Must Provide DNA – if you are going to use the surrogacy agency, it is to the advantage of the couple if they can provide both the egg and sperm for fertilization. However, this is not required. What is required is that the father is able to provide sperm. No agency will accept donations where neither parent is able to provide the necessary material for fertilization.

Understand that Ukrainian law has made this a requirement. Lawmakers believe that both parents should play a role in the creation of the child, but understand that there are instances where the mother is unable to do so. This is why same-sex couples are prohibited, because there is no chance that both parents can donate toward the embryo.

Medical Necessity Can Be a Requirement – Because it is law that both parents are supposed to be a part of the creation of the embryo, it may be necessary to prove that the wife is unable to provide the egg or to carry the baby to full term. A doctor’s record may be necessary and should be prepared just in case.

If you are not able to meet these requirements, then you may need to look at another option. This requirements are non-negotiable and you do not want to waste your time or resources looking into hiring a surrogate in the Ukraine if you cannot meet the requirements.
