Rambøll
Rambøll is a leading Danish consultant with a mission to create favourable living and working conditions for people together with environmentally sustainable development. Since 1989, Rambøll has gained practical engineering experience in wave energy system design and installation through its involvement with Danish Wave Power Aps (DWP). DWP conducted two wave power experiments in the sea at water depths of 30 m near the Danish harbour of Hanstholm. In parallel, DWP and Ramboll have been the coordinator of two European JOLTLE projects: the Technical Generic Evaluation Study (JOU 2-0003-DK) and the OV,,rEC-1 project (JOU2-CT93-0394). DW-P closed as a company in 1994, with a transfer of its intellectual assets to the oil & gas division of Ramboll. Since 1997 Ramboll has been involved in wave power as the Secretary for the Danish Wave Ener Programme for the .9y Danish Energy Agency. In parallel Ramboll has continued research on wave power converters based on point absorbers and has prepared a wave energy atlas for the ]Danish part of the North Sea. On these basis, Ramboll is candidate to participate to the European Wave Energy Network.
