House Cleaning ? What To Do When The Maid Does Not Turn Up?

Your maid not turning up is probably the one nightmare that you don’t want to experience during the day! Do you? You wake up on a lazy Sunday morning, hoping that the maid you had spoken to last week, would turn up to get your house cleaned and all spruced up for the coming week. Just when you think you have it all sewn up, you get a panic call from her to say that her five-year-old is down with the flue and that she can’t make it to your house – this is enough to send you into a tizzy. But let’s not get worked up; things are not bad. Cleaning the house (San Diego house cleaning) is not that big a chore if you have your wits about you.

Get a pattern going; then prioritize

This is one thing that we never really think about – we don’t think that there could be a systematized pattern when you have house cleaning on your mind. The main issue is that since there are so many tasks to be done, you keep wondering which of them must be done and in what order. Let’s look at the tasks you have:

  1. Vacuum the carpet
  2. Dust the windows
  3. Clean the vessels in the sink
  4. Wipe the cooker and kitchen top
  5. Put the washing out to dry

You probably realize that this is not a comprehensive list – there are many more tasks that you could keep adding. Now that you have five tasks on the list, try and figure out which one you need to do first. You could either start with the kitchen and then move to the rest of the house and vice versa. It’s all about planning things right from the start.

Don’t get too ambitious – be realistic

Now, this is the key – you could start feeling like Wonder Woman or Wonder Man, but you will see that if you want to feel good about yourself, you better get real! You cannot plan on doing all the jobs in one day. There is only one thing that can happen if you attempt this. You will probably do all that is on your list, but you are not going to be happy about the way in which it has been done. Think twice or thrice before doing your house cleaning.

The bottom line is this: list out your jobs; plan well and be realistic about what you can really achieve within the time that you have at your disposal
