I have informed you earlier about my trubine and would like to let you know about the latest improvements. When the turbine is mounted horizontally, the two valves can be coupled via a single bar. This reduces the number of moving parts associated with the valves from six to three.

Furthermore, no balance weights should be needed to act on the valve axels. The greatest advantage is however that an open valve becomes completely horizontal which minimizes its resistance to the air flow.

Another new feature is that the valves follow a curved path in the surrounding walls. This means that the valve close faster and stay air tight under varying air pressure conditions.

I have contacted two experts in gas dynamics at the Royal Institute of Technology here in Stockholm to see if they could guess the turbine's efficiency but they suggested that a thorough investigation would be needed and advised me to search help from wave energy experts. So if you have any guesses, comments or questions please let me know.

I welcome you to have a look at my web page for the latest additions: http://home.swipenet.se/nydana/turbine.html.

Best wishes for the new year,

Dan Lindgren
